Description:

Born in France, Solène Grosdidier obtained her Pharmacy Degree (Joseph Fourier University- Grenoble, France) in 2005 as well as a Magistère degree (Joseph Fourier University- Grenoble, France) and a MSc in Biotechnology applied to Health and Start-up Creation (Joseph Fourier University- GEM Grenoble École de Management, France) degree the same year. She also worked as a non-resident pharmacist in the CHU-Grenoble in 2004.

In 2005, she started a MSc in Biomedicine (Universitat de Barcelona- Barcelona, Spain). She did her PhD in the Barcelona Supercomputing Center under the supervision of Dr. Juan Fernandez Recio and worked at the molecular level. She defended her thesis entitled "Computational modeling applications: protein-protein docking, hot-spots prediction and allosteric effects" in 2011 (Universitat de Barcelona- Barcelona, Spain).

She then worked with Dr. Ferran Sanz and Dr. Laura Ines Furlong in the Integrative Biomedical Informatics group (belonging to the Research Unit on Biomedical Informatics (GRIB), IMIM/UPF in Barcelona, Spain) from 2011 until 2014. There, she came back to patient level data when she got involved in EMIF which aim is to develop a common information framework of patient-EHRs for research purposes.

Finally, she joined the Biosemantics group in ErasmusMC as a Scientific Researcher in 2015 and is back to her original pharmacy background. She is currently involved in eTOX and working on linking drugs to side effects using diverse resources.
